Perversion is the latest all singing and dancing mascara release from Urbcan Decay. Billed as a product which gives 'bigger, blacker, badder  lashes' I bought mine from Cohorted for the bargain price of £8.39 when I saw that it was available as the latest cohort, and as you guys know, I can't resist a bargain especially when it comes to beauty. The Perversion Mascara retails for £17.00 and is available online and in beauty halls worldwide.

I must admit, I usually steer clear of more expensive mascara products as I often struggle to see a difference in application or quality which makes it difficult in my eyes to justify the big price jump, but this one I couldn't resist.

The perversion Mascara has a large bristled brush which is perfect for picking up and coating every lash, although the formula is a little on the wet side so you do have to dab a little off the brush if you're as clumsy as I am first thing in the morning.

I found the brush to be the perfect size to maneuver through your top lashes although you may struggle to apply neatly on the bottom lashes. But, I must say I have been impressed with the amount of volume and length it adds to the lashes as they seem to be longer and thicker when I compare side by side to my normal every day mascara.

However, I can't say that I've been as impressed with the Subversion primer. Now, honesty is only policy on My Pale Skin and y'know it's not that the Subversion primer is an awful product I just find the primer stage a little unnecessary seeing as the mascara works so well. Mascara primer seems to me as a product which adds an extra few minutes into the time it takes for me to get ready and i'm not 100% sure it's actually worth the extra time....

Overall, This is a great product, and it may have just retired my Bourjois mascara to the back of the make up drawer and if you were lucky enough to grab this product when it was up as a cohort-it may just have been the best £8 spent in a long time!

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this product, have you tried it? Let me know in the comments...

  1. What a great bargain, can't argue with a great mascara for £8. I agree with you on mascara primers, I've never noticed any worth while benefit. Xx

  2. I'm definitely curious to try a mascara primer but as someone who is always in a rush to get ready I think I would end up skipping the step, so it's good to hear it's a great standalone mascara!

  3. Looks good! I don't think anything can steer me away from my Maybelline the falsies though.

  4. I think I would probably just use the primer for special occasions or when I wanted my make up especially nice for something! Good to hear that the mascara works well though as I'm a huge huge fan of Urban Decay :)

  5. What a great bargain!! I'm the same with mascara primer, I see it as an extra stage in a make up routine that isn't all that necessary :-) Will deffinitely be checking out Cohorted for my next purchases so thanks for linking that in. PS. Your photography is perfect!!

  6. The mascara looks great on your lashes! I never really understood the hype behind lash primer, but maybe they're for holding a curl better? I'm not sure! I never used any so I wouldn't know.

  9. Your lashes look AMAZING! It's a shame you didn't like the primer as much. Can't believe I missed it for such an amazing price!
